Lions was started in the U. S. in 1917, in Canada in 1920 and in Brockville in 1939. Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world. Our more than 1.3 million members in 205 countries and geographic areas are different in many ways, but we share a core belief – community is what we make it.

In the clubs history, we have donated approximately 3.8 million dollars. The most recent projects include the No Child Without Medic Alert Program $15,000.00, Brockville General Hospital $35,000, Brockville Public Library $50,000, Brockville YMCA $50,000 and the Lions Foundation of Canada $60,000. We also support many other local projects, sports teams, school bursaries and individuals in need. The Canadian National Institute for the Blind, locally, provincially and worldwide are of major interest to all Lions Clubs.

For the 2011-2012 Lions year, The Brockville Lions Club will meet at Luna Restaurant, 365 Stewart Blvd., Brockville on the second and fourth Monday of each month.Social networking from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm with a buffet dinner at 6:30 pm.
